(for those who want to know where the Lifetime $ goes) About
the $25. $10 goes to the Council general fund and $15 goes to the
Council district where they live, unless the person is a Sector retiree (IUE,
AFA, TNG, NABET, Printers). The $15 of sector retiree dues goes
to the Council sector.

Attention:
CWA Retirees
We urge you to support our efforts to form an Eastern Washington State
Retired Members Council.
There are thousands of CWA Retirees who depend on the Companies we
once worked for to provide benefits won through Collective Bargaining.
If we don’t unite and become a single voice, we are in danger of
becoming the “Silent Majority” and may soon be forced to pay those
assumed benefits out of our own pockets.
Health Care costs are being passed on to Retirees who can least afford
the increases. Today’s
Corporations want to pass their costs on to Retirees or drop them
altogether. Retirees must
organize to support contract negotiations to preserve benefits for active
and retired CWA members. We also
need political power to support the needs for
Retirees and Working Families.
The reality is that the Qwest contract is up in August 2008.
Remember there is a Letter of Agreement in the current contract that
has been there for many years and just pushed out with each round of
negotiations that allows Qwest to charge Retirees for their Health Care.
Let’s do something! First
join the National CWA Retired Members’ Council.
There is a one-time $25
membership fee. You can go to
the website to obtain a form or join online at https://secure.ga6.org/08/rmclifetime
